Delete your account
1.Overview
You can delete your tiny hamster account at any time — either yourself inside the app, or by sending us an email. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
2.In the app
This is the fastest way and takes effect immediately:
- Open the app and go to Profile in the bottom navigation.
- Scroll down and tap "Delete my account".
- Confirm the prompt. If you signed in with a password, you may need to enter it again.
Your account and the data listed in section 4 are then removed. This cannot be undone.
3.By email
If you can no longer sign in, send us an informal request from the email address you registered with, stating that you want your account deleted. If you write from a different address, we may ask you for further information so that we can be sure the account is yours.

4.What is deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- your profile, including your display name and any optional profile data,
- your login — the email address, password hash or Google sign-in linked to your account,
- all of your picks and your game history in every group,
- your memberships in all groups,
- your push notification subscriptions, both web push and the push tokens of the iOS and Android app,
- your email reminder and engagement subscriptions, including the unsubscribe tokens issued for your address.
5.What stays, and for how long
A small amount of data survives account deletion, either because it is no longer linked to you or because we are legally required to keep it. The retention periods are the ones set out in section 5 of our Privacy Policy:

| Prize payout records | 8 years for payment vouchers / 10 years for accounting records (§ 147(1) nos. 1 and 4 AO). In practice we apply a uniform 10-year retention period to all payout-related records as a conservative measure. |
6.How long deletion takes
If you delete your account in the app, it takes effect immediately. If you ask us by email, we aim to respond to all requests within one month, and in practice we act much sooner. Deletion is processed without undue delay in accordance with your rights under Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
7.Export your data first
Before deletion takes effect, you may request an export of your personal data in accordance with Article 20 GDPR by emailing hello@tinyhamster.app. We will make that data available to you for a period of 30 days following account termination or deletion.
